Introducing Mariam Heydari

For nearly three decades, Heydari has been a Maven favorite at Essential Elements, dressing women for everything from church to special events. But behind the brand is a woman whose journey is as bold as her designs—Mariam Heydari.

Mariam started in retail, running a boutique that catered to fashion-forward customers. But her passion for design couldn’t be contained to the racks of a store. In 2020, she launched Heydari, bringing her vision to life—fashion that feels like wearable art. With architectural shapes, fluid silhouettes, and a fearless mix of prints, textures, and layers, her collections are anything but ordinary.

I’m proud to call Mariam a friend—she even named a dress after me, the Melanie Dress! Her dedication to creating distinctive, statement-making fashion has earned her a devoted following of women who appreciate style that stands out.

Heydari isn’t just about clothing; it’s about confidence, creativity, and breaking free from the expected. And that’s why we love it.  We honor her for International Women's History Month and look forward to her fabulousness for years to come!
